Bangalore:  It is the time to celebrate the spirit of cultural progarmmes.  IIM Bangalore’s official cultural fest UNMAAD, in its 21st edition, will commence from 27 January 2017 and end on 29 January 2017. This edition of Unmaad will host the musician and singer Amit Trivedi along with Jonita Gandhi, Divya Kumar and the stand-up comedian Zakir Khan at the Pronite on 29 January 2017.

Indian Rock bands ‘The Local Train’ and ‘Agam’ will also be a part of the festivities. The most significant of the event is that Unmaad carries an international tag with the ‘World Cultural Fiesta’, which will have artistes from around the world in the field of the performing arts. The theme for the fest of the edition is ‘The Island of Dreams’.

The cultural fest Unmaad has lined up a host of events to entertain people across all age groups, and participation from more than 200 colleges across the country.  Music enthusiasts will get a glance of the best rock band at the ‘B-School of Rock’ while dance lovers will rule the dance floor at ‘Footloose’.

In addition to these events, Haute Couture – the fashion show, Chef’s Hat – a chance to showcase culinary skills, and the Unmaad Quiz are set to entertain the audience.

 A total prize money of  Rs 11 lakhs to be won this year.

As part of Unmaad 2017, the students of IIM Bangalore have partnered with ‘Gift Your Organ’ foundation and Apollo Hospitals to organize a mass organ donation awareness and sign-up campaign. This campaign aims at making people aware about the benefits of organ donation and motivating them to sign-up for the noble cause.
