BITSAT 2019 – Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani will be conducting its annual Admission Test for the academic admission of 2019 session. Nearly 3 lakh candidates show their interests in pursuing their engineering and B Tech under graduate programmes from one of the 3 BITS campuses. For the next coming session, candidates can expect the registration window to open from third week of December 2018. The applications are to be submitted online from the official website of BITS Pilani. BITSAT is a university level examination, and candidates from all over the nation apply for this popular-among-students examination. The format of the examination is simple to follow. Fill the application form, book slots, download admit card, appear in BITSAT 2019, view results, participate in the counseling procedure, and start a new beginning of life in one of the BITS Campus.
Since only the eligible candidates are allowed to appear during the BITSAT 2019, students are advised to make sure that they are among the ones that are eligible. The eligibility criteria for BITSAT include the following: Candidates are required to pass class 10+2 from any government recognized Board; a minimum of 75% is required in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology taken together; candidates who have cleared 12th standard in 2018 or who is pursuing in 12th are eligible to apply.
One the candidates are eligible to apply, they may do so as soon as the registration window opens. BITSAT 2019 Application Form will be released in the month of December 2018. Candidates who are eligible can start applying as soon as BITSAT Application Forms are released in December 2018. Application Form is to be submitted online in the official website. Candidates will have to register, fill in personal and academic details, and upload recent photograph and signature. After the form fill up is complete, candidates must finish the process by paying the application fee.
After the registration process is finalized, Slot Booking process will begin in the month of March 2019. Candidates will have to select their preferences for exam date, time, and city. Candidates can do so by logging into their ID. Since the slots will be booked on the basis of first come first serve, candidates are required to select their preferences as early as possible. In case any candidate fails to book their slots, the exam authority will arrange the slots for the candidates. The BITSAT 2019 Admit Card will generate once the slots are booked.
BITS Admission Test will be an Online Computer based Standardized test in which candidates will have to attempt 150 questions. Candidates will have to finish the examination in less than 3 hours. All the questions in the BITSAT 2019 will be multiple choice objective type questions. Each correct answer will be complimented with 3 marks; whereas, each wrong answer will cost 1 mark. There will be 4 sections, and 40 questions will be from Physics and Chemistry each; 45 questions will be from Biology/Mathematics; 10 and 15 questions will be from English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning respectively.
