Selection Procedure of Postgraduate Programme in Rural Management (PRM 2017 – 19) for Indian Nationals: IRMA will use CAT 2016 / XAT 2017 scores for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management 2017- 19 (PRM 2017-19). All applicants for IRMA Admissions have to additionally appear for “Issues of Social Concern” test (online) on February 12, 2017. Those applicants, who expect to fulfill the eligibility requirements before June 05, 2017 may also apply.

PRM participants are selected on the basis of the above mentioned Admissions Test, Group Activity, and Personal Interview.

It is compulsory for applicants to appear for CAT 2016 / XAT 2017 and “Issues of Social Concern (ISC)” test of IRMA.

Selection Procedure of Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM 2017): IRMA will use CAT 2016 / XAT 2017 scores for admission to Fellow Programme in Rural Management 2017(FPRM 2017). All applicants for IRMA Admissions have to additionally appear for “Issues of Social Concern” test on February 12, 2017. Those applicants, who expect to fulfill the eligibility requirements before June 05, 2017 may also apply.

FPRM participants are selected on the basis of the Admissions Test, Interview and Presentation of an Essay.

Applicants with PGDRM qualification from IRMA and applicants with a valid score of UGC JRF in relevant disciplines (management, economics, social work, sociology, psychology, commerce, etc.) are exempted from taking the admissions test and will be directly called for the interview. UGC JRF is mandatory, only NET is not sufficient for getting exemption from admissions test.

Eligibility for Postgraduate Programme in Rural Management (PRM 2017 – 19): A graduate from any discipline, with a minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education, having 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ST/DAP (Differently Abled Person)) aggregate marks at the graduation level can apply for admission. The percentage of aggregate marks is to be calculated as per the practice followed by the concerned university or institution. In case the university/institution does not have any scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by IRMA by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100.

Eligibility for Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM 2017): To be eligible for admission to the FPRM 2016 Programme an applicant must satisfy one of the following conditions:

PGDRM from IRMA; or

PGDRDM from IRMA with one year post-diploma work experience; or

Four-year professional degree (engineering, agricultural sciences etc.) with 60% marks and at least three years work experience;

Applicants having valid score of UGC JRF in relevant disciplines (management, economics, social work, sociology, psychology, commerce, etc.).

The eligibility requirement for applicants from SC/ST/OBC/dap (differently abled person) is 5% less than those specified above.

In exceptional cases, a person with a high professional standing and proven competence, not possessing a PG degree but whose experience can measure up to a PG degree might also be considered for admission to the Programme. In these cases, the FPRM Executive Committee would consider the quality of the published and unpublished work and/ or professional contributions of the applicant and establish equivalence to the relevant PG course subjects.
