New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, India’s top ranked university in general stream category-NIRF India Rankings Report 2017, has released official admission notification for the academic year 2018-19. The University will hold Entrance Examination for admission to various programmes of study from 27 to 30 December 2017.
Through Entrance Examination JNU-December 2017, the following courses will be offered for admission AY 2018-19: MPhil/PhD, MPhil/PhD through JRF, PhD, PhD through JRF, MTech, MPH, PGDE, MA, MSc, MCA, BA (Hons.) in Foreign Languages and Part-Time courses. The Entrance Examination will be held in 53 cities in India and also in Kathmandu (Nepal).
Key Dates: As per the JNU Admission Notification published at the Employment Newspaper Dt 09-15 September 2017, the online application portal will remain open from 15 September 2017 (10.00 AM). The online application portal of JNU for AY 2018-19 will close on 13 October 2017 (11.59 PM). The University will hold Entrance Examination for admission to various programmes –AY 2018-19 from 27 to 30 December 2017.
The Admission Notification informed that prospectus outlining the details of the admission process can be found on JNU website (https://www.jnu.ac.in) . Till SkillOutlook updates the story, the prospectus has not been uploaded on the official website of JNU and admission page of the university. Once the admission prospectus of the JNU is uploaded on its website, SkillOutlook will publish the full story on the Admission AY 2018-19 of JNU.
Here, it can be informed that JNU generally conducts Entrance Examination for various programmes in May-June period of each academic year and releases notification in February Month of each year. There were reports that JNU will conduct Entrance Examination for its prpogrammes in December month from AY 2018-19. As now the university has official released the notification, it is now confirmed that for AY 2018-19, JNU entrance will be held in December 2017.
The JNU Entrance Examination is very tough as a large number of candidates apply for admission to its various programmes. Hence, the aspirants should take note of this new development as few months left for exam preparation.
