Mumbai: Joint Admission Test for MSc (JAM) for 2018 will be held on 11 Feb 2018 (Sunday). The online application window will open for the test from 05 September 2017. The last date for Online Application Submission and Uploading of Documents on the website will be 10 October 2017.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay will conduct Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) for 2018. IIT Bombay has announced these information via the official website of JAM 2018. The official portal of JAM 2018 is http://jam.iitb.ac.in/ .  IIT Bombay will release the detailed notification soon on JAM 2018.

 IITs conduct JAM exam for admission to MSc (Two Year), Joint MSc-PhD, Dual Degree, Integrated PhD and other post – bachelor degree programmes at the IITs and IISc, Bangalore.  Admission to the above mentioned academic programmes in IISc Bangalore and IITs for the academic session 2018-19 will be made on the basis of all India merit list of JAM 2018.  JAM has test papers: Biological sciences (BL), Biotechnology (BY), Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), Physics (PH).

The announcement of the results of JAM 2018 scheduled on 20 March  2018 (Tuesday).

Eligibility Requirements (ERS) for admission:

The candidates who qualify in JAM 2018 shall have to fulfill the following Eligibility Requirement (ER) for admissions in IITs.

 All candidates admitted through JAM should have a Bachelor’s degree.

At least 55% aggregate marks, without rounding off, (taking into account all subjects, including Languages and Subsidiaries, all years combined) for General/OBC-NCL category Candidates and Foreign Nationals; at least 50% aggregate marks, without rounding off, (taking into account all subjects, including Languages and Subsidiaries, all years combined) for SC/ST and PwD Category Candidates in the qualifying degree.

For Candidates with letter grades/CGPA (instead of percentage of marks), the equivalence in percentage of marks will be decided by the Admitting Institute(s).

As per the official website of JAM 2018, proof of having passed the Qualifying Degree with the Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQ) as specified by the admitting institute should be submitted by 30 September 2018.
