New Delhi, 31 December 2018: There are 13 centrally financial assisted State Food Craft Institutes (FCIs) which are presently functional.

Setting up of a new Food Craft Institute at Deoghar in Jharkhand was sanctioned by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in 2017-18. No proposal to start the teaching session at Food Craft Institute, Deogarh has been received from the State Government of Jharkhand.

This information was given by Mr K. J. Alphons, Union Minister of State (I/C) for Tourism in a written reply in Lok Sabha today.
