New Delhi, 9th August 2018: The South Asia Connect (SAC) program is funded and supported by the United States Embassy and run by the Austin University Texas. It is an initiative to promote entrepreneurs from South Asian countries and give them a platform to get mentoring, guidance, networking support and a chance to explore in the Asian countries market. South Asia Connect leader from India Ms. Tripti Shinghal, CEO, KGS Advisors (http://www.triptishinghalsomani.com ) and Ms. Sonali Bhope, Founder BizMentors, invites applications for the second Batch of South Asia Connect program from Indian start-ups.

The American Centre in Delhi recently hosted a bunch of young and enthusiast entrepreneurs from India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Nepal. The young entrepreneurs were obliged to get a platform to showcase their innovation to leaders and mentors from the United States and other five countries.

The program will select 16 entrepreneurs from these five countries each and after fulfilling the initial selection criteria five of them will undergo extensive training program at Nexus Centre, Delhi. The training program is funded by the US Embassy. The first batch of entrepreneurs has finished two levels of training and the final training will be conducted in the month of September, 2018.

In the first batch, last week, four Indian entrepreneurs with two leaders attended the Entrepreneurs Week. The four entrepreneurs Ruchi Rastogi- Hunar Foundation, Ruchika Beri- Jewelove, Lalrinngheti Sangsiama and Vibha Tripathi- Swajal competed against 35 other companies from India to make it to Entrepreneurs Week. The final four competed against 16 other companies from South Asia for five slots in a two-month long incubation center to enhance their business models, products, and services.

South Asia Connect (SAC) program is inviting applications for next batch of entrepreneurs who are looking for mentoring, guidance, networking and technological support for building their start-ups as successful business ventures.

Second batch of receiving applications began from August 6, 2018 and last date of applying is August 31, 2018. The selection shall be declared by September 07, 2018 and batches will start by November 05, 2018.

Leaders from other countries includes Zimana Ahmed and Tanvir Mosharraf from Bangladesh, Tashi Wangdi from Bhutan, Heminda Jayaweera and Vithushan Vijayarat from Sri Lanka, Bibhuti Neupane and Mahim Sing from Nepal.

The program coordinators are Divya Rajput, Dr Cliff Zintgraff and Gregory P. Pogue, Ph.D., Interim Executive Director at IC² Institute.
