New Delhi: There are a large number of management institutes offering MBA, PG Diploma in Management, Fellow Programme in Management , etc . Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are the established their own reputation as the best Business Schools in India. Meanwhile, the latest India Rankings Report 2017 released by HRD Ministry’s National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), has revealed many surprises in the rankings of B-Schools in India.

Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad is best crowned as the best management institute in India. The most surprise part of the Ranking Report is IIM Ahmedabad beat IIM  Bangalore, which was the top rank holder in NIRF 2016. IIM Bangalore slips to second position in the ranking tally. IIM Calcutta maintains it third place for 2017.

IIM Lucknow bags fourth position in the management school category of NIRF 2017. IIM Kozhikode stands fifth position.  Hence, top five positions have been bagged by IIMs, reelecting IIMs dominance in the B-School rankings.

The next three spots are bagged by three management schools of IITs. Management programme in IIT Delhi features at sixth place while management programme in IIT Kharagpur stands at seventh spot. IIT Roorkee finds at eighth position in the ranking list.  Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) Jamshedpur  emerges as the top ninth rank holder as IIM Indore is placed at 10^th position

IIT Kanpur features at 11^th place. National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai finds 12^th rank as IIM Tiruchirappalli features at 13^th place. IIM Raipur stands at 14^th place while IIM Udaipur achieves 15^th rank.

Eleven IIMs remain among top 20 B-Schools in the Indian Ranking Report 2017. Management Development Institute, Gurgaon remains, Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, S P Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai  stand at 15^th, 16^th and 17^th place, respectively in the ranking list.
