Ghaziabad: IMT Ghaziabad, India’s premier management school, today announced that its Convocation 2017 will be held on Wednesday, March 15 at its campus in Ghaziabad, Delhi NCR. The Chief Guest at this year’s convocation is Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal, Founder and Chairman – Bharti Enterprises who will deliver the convocation address and confer the medals and the awards to the meritorious students and distinguished alumni.

Mr Kamal Nath, President – IMT Governing Council, Member of Parliament, and Former Union Cabinet Minister will preside over the convocation ceremony and award the diplomas to the graduating students. He will also address the students and the gathering.

The event will witness two prestigious awards, Distinguished Alumnus Award and Vishit Jain Memorial Award. Every year, since 2005, IMT Ghaziabad confers a Distinguished Alumnus Award for its alumni’s exceptional contribution to the industry and the Institute. The Vishit Jain Memorial Award is given for an all-round performance with noticeable impact and quality of achievements of a graduating student.

A total of 545 students from different programmes, namely Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) – Full Time, PGDM – Finance, PGDM – Marketing, PGDM – Dual Country Programme (DCP), PGDM – Executive, and PGDM – Part Time, will be graduating this year at the convocation ceremony in the presence of their parents, IMT Ghaziabad faculty, Directors of other IMT campuses, and eminent dignitaries from diverse fields.

The convocation ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm and conclude at 6:20 pm followed by a gala dinner. The entire event will be webcast live on IMT Ghaziabad website www.imt.edu .
