New Delhi, 05 September 2017: Today is the Teacher’s Day.  The President of India, Mr Ram Nath Kovind, will meet the Awardees on the occasion of Teacher’s Day on September 5, 2017.

 Mr Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, Mr Satya Pal Singh, MoS, Human Resource Development, Higher Education, Govt. of India and Mr Upendra Kushwaha, MoS, Human Resource Development, School Education and Literacy, will also be present. The event will be held in Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi.

 In India, Teacher’s Day is celebrated on the birth day of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was the first Vice President of India (1952–1962) and the second President of India from 1962 to 1967. He was an Indian philosopher and statesman.
