Banking Jobs: Bank of India invites applications for recruitment of 539 officer posts

Mumbai:  Bank of India, a leading public sector bank in India, invites applications for recruitment of officers under various pay scales. The required posts are as followed: Officer Credit (JMGS-I, 217 posts), Manager (MMGS, 200 posts), Senior Manager (MMGS III, 100 posts).  In addition to these total 517 vacancies, another 22 posts under various scales reserved for Persons With Disabilities (PWD) candidates.

Relevant Date for Age/Qualification/Post Qualification Experience: 01 April 2016

Candidates can apply only online from 31.05.2016 to 14.06.2016 and no other mode of application will be accepted.

Eligibility for Officer Credit (JMGS I):

Age: Minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years

Educational Qualification: Candidate having B.com degree(3 year full time programme) with min 60% marks along with MBA/PGDBM/PGDBA from institute of repute (two/three year full time programme) (candidates appearing in the final year of examination of MBA/PGDBM/PGDBA are eligible to apply. However, their final result should be declared on or before 31th August 2016.) OR Chartered Accountant OR ICWA.

Eligibility for Manager (MMGSII):

Age: Minimum 28 years and maximum 35 years

Educational Qualification: Candidate having B.com degree(3 year full time programme) with min 60% marks along with MBA/PGDBM/PGDBA from institute of repute (two/three year full time programme) OR Chartered Accountant OR ICWA.

Post-qualification Experience: Minimum 5 years’ post- qualification experience in the field of Risk Management/ Credit / Forex /Relationship Manager/Retails Banking etc. in financial services industry /financial institution/Bank/ Mutual Funds /NBFC’s of which 2 years’ experience in Large Bank as an officer is essential.

Eligibility for Manager (MMGSII):

Age: Minimum 30 years and maximum 38 years

Educational Qualification: Candidate having B.com degree(3 year full time programme) with min 60% marks along with MBA/PGDBM/PGDBA from institute of repute (two/three year full time programme) OR Chartered Accountant OR ICWA.

Post-qualification Experience: Minimum 7 years’ post qualification experience in the field of Risk Management/ Credit / Forex /Relationship Manager/Retails Banking etc. in financial services industry /financial institution/Bank/ Mutual Funds /NBFC’s of which 3 years’ experience in Large Bank as an officer is essential.

Selection Procedure:

Selection will be through online test and/or personal interview, depending on the number of applicants/eligible candidates.

Merit list of the candidates based on the marks obtained by them in online examination (marks obtained in General Awareness with special reference to Banking Industry paper and Financial Management paper) will be prepared in descending order under the respective SC/ST/OBC/GEN category.

The Bank may conduct the selection process only on the basis of Interview without holding online test. Accordingly, if online examination is not conducted for any of the post, adequate number of candidates as decided by the Bank will be shortlisted for the interview based on their qualification, experience, and overall suitability for the post.

Final selection will be through online test and/or personal interview, depending on the number of applicants/eligible candidates.

In case online test is conducted, the weightage (ratio) of Online Examination and interview will be 50:50. The combined final scores of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of total scores obtained by the candidates in Online Examination (marks obtained in General Awareness with special reference to Banking Industry paper and Financial Management paper) and Interview. A candidate should be found suitable both in the Online Examination and interview to be eligible for final selection.

If online examination is not conducted for any scale/post, the final selection will be made through personal interview.

Upper age is relaxable to various reserved categories as per the government’s rule.
