New Delhi:  Getting a Central Government job is never a happy hunting ground for aspirants. Considering lucrative salary package and large number of candidates applying these government jobs, any entrance or exam for recruiting Central Government post is always tough. On this backdrop, Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Executive Exam 2017 is going to be tough as a large number of candidates expected to apply for these posts.

Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India, has invited  online applications from Indian Nationals for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (Grade-II/Executive) i.e. ACIO-II (Exe) in IB. The total number of vacancies is 1,300 and 130 for Ex-Servicemen.  The application portal is open from 12 August 2017 and will close on 02 September  2017 till 2359 hours. Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Executive Exam 2017 Pattern:  As per the recruitment notification released by Ministry of Home Affairs, the entire selection process has three phases: Tier 1 Exam, Tier 2 Exam and Interview. The candidate has to appear in Tier-I at one of the test centres.  This test will be held in 33 cities across India.

The Tier 1 will Objective type MCQs, divided into 4 parts containing 25 questions of 1 marks each on:  General Awareness; Quantitative aptitude; Logical/analytical ability; and English language. The totak marks of Tier 1 exam is 100 while total duration is 60 minutes.  There will be negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong answer in Tier-I. No marks would be awarded for an un-attempted question.

Only those candidates would be called for Tier-II exam who come up to a certain standard in Tier-I. There will be a minimum cut off marks of 33% in Tier-II. The Exam will Descriptive type with two parts:  Essay on one of the given topics (30 marks) and English comprehension & précis writing (20 marks). The date, time and centre of Tier-II would be intimated to the successful candidates through the application portal as well as E-mail.

On the basis of their combined performance in Tier-I and Tier-II, the candidates would be short listed for the interview. The Interview phase will carry 100 marks.

Based on the combined performance in Tier-I, Tier-II and interview, the candidates would be short listed for final selection subject to successful completion of their Character and Antecedent verification followed by medical examination.

The educational eligibility of these jobs is Graduation or equivalent from a recognized University.  The Age Limit is 18-27 years. The relaxation of upper age limit is applicable as per government norms.
