New Delhi, 10 February 2018: Indian Railways is on mega recruitment drive. Railway Recruitment Boards invite online applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of various posts in Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix for the vacancies in various units of Indian Railways. The total number of vacant posts are 62,907. These are mainly Group D level posts.
Key Dates: The online application has commenced today (10 February 2018). The closing date for submission of online application is 12 March 2018. Candidates should ensure that they possess/fulfill all eligibility conditions prescribed for the post(s) as on the closing date for submitting application.

Age Limit: 18 to 31 years. The lower and upper age limit indicated for a particular post(s) in the vacancy table will be reckoned as on 01.07.2018. The upper age relaxation is available as per the government norms.
Educational Qualifications: Candidates should have the Educational/Technical qualifications indicated against the notified posts in the CEN from recognized Board/NCVT/SCVT as on the closing date for submission of the ONLINE application. Candidates should refer to Annexure-A for the prescribed qualification against each of the posts on the CEN.
The recruitment notification mentioned that those awaiting results of the final examination of the prescribed educational/technical qualification should not apply. Diploma/Degree in Engineering will not be accepted in lieu of course completed Act Apprenticeship /ITI. Also, Graduate Act Apprentice will not be accepted in lieu of Course Completed Act Apprenticeship.
Examination Fee: a) For all candidates except the fee concession categories Rs. 500.00
- b) For Candidates belonging to SC / ST / Ex-Serviceman / PWDs / Female / Transgender /Minorities / Economically backward class.*this fee of ` 250 shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in CBT Rs.250.00.
