New Delhi: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is on special recruitment drive for teaching posts in Kendriya Vidyalayas of North Eastern Zone through Direct Recruitment Examination in KVS. KVS invites online applications from Indian citizens fill up teacher posts in KV schools of North Eastern Zone. The North Eastern Zone of KVS comprises of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. The total number vacant posts stands at 546.
Out of these 546 teaching posts, 182 for Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) Group B posts, 144 for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) Group B Posts, and 220 for Primary Teacher (PRT) Group B Posts. The teaching posts are available in the following subjects: Hindi, English, History, Economics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Sanskrit, Social Studies, and Science.
Key Dates: The online recruitment portal will open from 03 October 2017. The closing date for online registration is 17 October 2017. The candidates need to apply online through the official website of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (http://kvsangathan.nic.in/) .
Educational Qualification in Brief (However, candidates should refer the exact recruitment notification):
Post-Graduate Teacher (PGTs): A) Two Years’ integrated Post Graduate MSc Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject.
Or
Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the relevant subjects.
B) BEd or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
C) Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium.
Trained Graduate Teacher (TGTs): A) Four year’s integrated course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
Or
Bachelor degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subject and in aggregate.
B) Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper II, conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCERT for the purpose.
C) Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium.
Primary Teacher (PRT): i) Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% or its equivalent. ii) Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose. iii) Competence to teach through Hindi & English medium.
Mode of Selection: The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in written examination and interview put together. The weightage of written test and interview will be 85:15 for the post of PGTs, TGTs, and Primary Teachers. The written test for the recruitment of the above mentioned posts will be held at 18 cities across India.
