Durgapur: Now National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur, an Institute of National Importance under Ministry of Human Resource Development, has joined recruitment bandwagon for faculty members. More than 10 NITs have already notified their faculty recruitment drive. NIT Durgapur has released notification to hire 104 faculty staff. The vacant positions are available in 14 departments.
Key Dates & Application Fee: The interested candidates will apply on the prescribed application form and the completed application form along with Demand Draft of Rs.600/- should reach the Registrar, NIT Durgapur, Mahatma Gandhi Avenue, Durgapur 713209, West Bengal, India on or before 4.00 P.M. of 06 November 2017 by Speed Post/Registered Post. The prescribed application form is available on the official website of NIT Durgapur.
The positions are available in the following levels: Assistant Professor (on Contract) PB–3 (Rs 15,600 – Rs 39,100) AGP: Rs 6,000; Assistant Professor (on Contract) PB–3 (Rs 15,600 – Rs39,100) AGP: Rs7,000; Assistant Professor PB–3 (Rs 15,600 – Rs 39,100), AGP: Rs 8,000 Minimum Pay in Pay-band Rs 30,000; Associate Professor PB–4 Rs37,400 – Rs 67,000), AGP: Rs 9,500 Minimum Pay in Pay-band Rs 42,800; Professor PB–4 Rs 37,400 – Rs 67,000), AGP: Rs 10,500 Minimum Pay in Pay-band Rs 48,000.
Eligibility Conditions: Selection shall be made following the detailed guidelines as per Modified Recruitment Rule (MRR) for faculty in NITs, approved by President of India and published in Gazette of India dated July 24, 2017. All new entrants shall have PhD in relevant or equivalent discipline and shall have first class in preceding degrees.
