Recruitment for 257 Enforcement Officers/Accounts Officers in EPFO notified by UPSC

New Delhi: Online applications are invited by UPSC for recruitment of 257 Enforcement Officers/Accounts Officers in Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Ministry of Labour and Employment.  Of the 257 posts, 21 posts are reserved for physical changed persons with disability/disabilities. The posts are permanent.

Pay Scale: Rs. 9,300- 34,800 (PB-2) + Rs. 4,600 (Grade Pay) (T.E. Rs.30,441/- Approx.) + TA and HRA as admissible. General Central Service Group ‘B’.


Qualification: Graduation in any subject

Desirable Qualification: (i) Bachelor’s degree in Law/Integrated five (05) years’ Degree in Law/Masters in Business Administration/Post Graduate Diploma in Management/Company Secretary/Chartered Accountant/ Cost  & Management Account.  (ii) Two years experience in Administration/Accounts/Legal Matters in any government or Listed-Private Organisation.

Age: Upper age limit is 30 years. The age limit shown against all items is the normal age limit and the age is relaxable for SC/ST candidates upto 5 years and upto 3 years for OBC candidates.  Age limit is also relaxable for Employees of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation upto 5 years.

Important Dates:

Closing Date for submission of online recruitment of application (ORA)  through ORA website is 23:59 hrs on 23.06.2016. (Thursday)

The last date for printing of completely submitted online application is upto 23:59 hrs on 24.06.2016.

Date for determining the eligibility of all candidates in every respect  should be the prescribed closing date for submission of application.

Job Role & Duties: Duties of Enforcement Officer/ Accounts Officer inter alia are to look after the work of Enforcement, Recovery, Accounts, Administration Cash, Legal Pension and Computer which includes the statutory and administrative functions like conducting inquiry, settlement of claims, general administration; maintenance of Cash Book/Administration : maintenance of Cash Book/Reconciliation of Bank statement : MIS returns etc.

Selection Procedure:

A written test (recruitment test)

Shortest candidates based on performance of written will called for interview

Final selection will be based on both written and interview tests (weightage on each test will be informed by the commission latter).

A pen & paper based Recruitment Test (RT) to short-list the candidates for Interview for recruitment to the posts of Enforcement Officers/Accounts Officers shall be conducted by the commission.  The date of the above RT will be intimated to the candidates in due course through commission’s Website/Newspapers.
