Ropar: A research scholar, Mr. Gurinder Pal Singh Sodhi, from Department of Mechanical Engineering of Indian Institute of Technology Ropar has been awarded with prestigious ‘Best Presentation Award’ in the International Conference on Innovative Engineering Materials (ICIEM 2017) held from 21-23 October at Philadelphia, USA.
Mr. Gurinder Pal Singh Sodhi, under the guidance of Prof. Harpreet Singh, Dean of Industrial Consultancy, Sponsored Research and Industry Interaction, IIT Ropar, presented his paper on ‘Development of Corrosion Resistance Surfaces via Friction Stir Processing for Bio-Implant Applications’.
Congratulating Mr. Sodhi for achieving the award, Prof. Harpreet Singh, Dean (Industrial Consultancy, Sponsored Research and Industry Interaction), IIT Ropar, said, “It is matter of great pride not just for IIT Ropar but also for the entire region as Mr. Gurinder Pal Singh Sodhi, has been recognized and awarded the Best Presentation Award in the ICIEM2017, The conference aims to convene experts around the world to present their research work and discuss the relevant topics in the field of innovative materials.”
The session of the ICIEM 2017 was chaired by distinguished Prof. Karen Winey from University of Pennsylvania and Prof. Yuegang Zuo from Massachusetts University, Dartmouth.
