Bangalore: Manipal University, a premier private university based in Udupi, Karnataka, has invited application for PhD admission 2017 for various disciplines under Dr TMA Pai PhD scholarship program. These disciplines are atomic and molecular physics, applied science, allied health science, communication, engineering, life science, medicine, management, pharmacy, information science, science and statistics.

 PhD admission notification has mentioned that based on marks obtained in the past academic records, publication and research experience, the candidates will be shortlisted for written test /interview. Masters degree in respective subject with 60% aggregate marks is eligibility criteria for applying these PhD programmes offered by the university.

Duration: Six months probationary period + 3 years

Scholarship Benefits: Under Dr TMA Pai PhD scholarship program the candidate will get Rs. 14,000 per month for the first six months (Probationary period).   For the first year (after probationary period), they will get Rs 16,000 per month while during  second year, candidates will get Rs 17,000 per month. For the third year, candidate will get Rs 18,000 per month.

Based on marks obtained in the past academic records, publication and research experience the candidates will be short – listed for written test /interview.

How to apply:  Eligible candidates should download the application form, available on the PhD admission 2017 page of the official website of the university. After completing  it in all respects and candidates should send it to the Manipal University with required documents.  The university has informed that the last date for receipt of applications is 31 March 2017.

As per the admission notification, the PhD programme will commence from 30 June 2017.
