New Delhi: The University Grants Commission (UGC), the regulator of Higher Education in India, has updated the syllabus of all NET subjects (including Paper-I on General Awareness). The updated new syllabus will be applicable for upcoming exams from June 2019 onwards. Hence, for July 2019 UGC NET exam, aspirants have to follow the updated syllabus.

In  a statement, National Test Agency, the autonomous institute conducting the UGC-NET Test since Dec 2018, said the updated syllabus of UGC-NET (Applicable for upcoming exams from June 2019 onwards) is available on UGC-NET website www.ugcnetonline.in. The statement mentioned that the candidates may see the updated syllabus of UGC-NET examination in the above mentioned website and link and prepare themselves accordingly.

The new Syllabus is available for 101 subjects.  Students can download the detailed syllabus on the above link.

The First UGC NET Examination was conducted by NTA from 18th December, 2018 to 22nd December, 2018 on two shifts per day across 235 cities in the country. The examination was conducted in 85 subjects. A total number of 956837 candidates registered for this examination.

Out of registered candidates of more than 95,000 candidates, 3,883 Qualified for JRF & more than 44,000 qualified for Assistant Professor in the UGC NET Dec 2018 exam.
