Mumbai: Music therapy is a research-based practice and profession in which music is used to actively support people as they strive to improve their health, functioning and wellbeing.
The purpose of this program is to create a functional competence in the participating group in three forms of Music as a Therapy using the Receptive, Active and Participative ( R.A.P.) Methodology.
History is full of evidence on how Music and Sound have been an critical to a society, from the first cry of a baby signalling life, to the ways in which the continuity of cultural practices have been preserved through rhymes, hymns, ballads, poetry, song and dance.
