Kharagpur: Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, will pay a visit to the campus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur on 5 January 2017 (Thursday). Mr Pichai is a distinguished alumnus of IIT Kharagpur. He will meet the students of IIT Kharagpur on the same day.

Mr Pichai holds a BTech degree in metallurgical and materials engineering, IIT Kharagpur pass out batch  of 1993. He also holds MS degree in Engineering and Materials Science from Stanford University and an MBA from the Wharton School.

CEO of Google is visiting next year as he will land in India on 04 January 2017.  During his visit, Google will host an event for small and medium enterprises in India, which will be attended by Information and Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.

Over the last two years, Google has been aggressively expanding its services in India. Google for Business, Google Maps, YouTube Go, a new Cloud region, free WiFi at railway stations are a host initiatives targeting Indian internet users.
