Ahmedabad:  MICA Alumni Association (MAA) will be launched to promote a global network and a peer learning platform to be managed by MICA Alumni. MAA would function as an independent society with the mission to connect and engage MICAns with the institution in mutually beneficial and actionable ways.

MICA Institution will facilitate MAA activities, in collaboration with the Alumni Engagement Committee, to organize ‘homecomings’ for the alumni soon, where they would be briefed about the MAA and engage in exciting MICA campus activities. The homecomings would be focused on cherishing the MICAn spirit and revisiting their roots. In the long term, the Association plans to function through self-regulatory city chapters.

The Association would be led by the selected MICA Alumni from the Industry such as Mr Kunal Jeswani, Mr. Sandeep Menon, Mr Saurabh Varma, and many diverse leaders in the coming years.  The Ex Officio members such as MICA President, Dean and Associate Deans will provide facilitation and support.

Commenting on the Association, Associate Dean, Mr Siddharth Deshmukh, also a MICAn, said, “MAA is calling you back home! The setting up of MICA’s association is long overdue.  As MICAns, we have this unique feeling of belonging and excitement about being MICAns who share nostalgic experiences. MAA intends to help each MICAn in special and meaningful ways to reconnect, contribute and create a strong future for this community together.”

MICA President, Mr Madhukar Kamath, emphasized that, “MICA’s pride are its MICAns. The MICA Alumni Association now gives all MICAns spread across India and the globe a dynamic platform to connect, engage and belong. These relationships and the Association will strengthen MICA as it grows.”

The Dean of MICA, Dr. Preeti  Shroff said, “MICA Alumni are well-placed in leadership and strategic positions across multiple industries and their mentoring role for the next generation of MICAns is critical. I firmly believe the MAA network will help in peer learning and leveraging valuable knowledge, expertise and experiences.  MICA Alumni – Welcome Home!”
