Allahabad: The National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI) has started a national level scientific writing contest for the Indian students of BSc, BTech, MBBS, BUMS, BASM courses. The NASI informed that the topic for the scientific writing contest is “Technology in Digital Communication “.  As per the contest plan, the NASI invites write-up on the above topic while the selected entries will participate on the spot contest to be held on 27 February 2016.

The students should send the write-up to the office of the NASI by 25 January 2017 through proper channel (duly forwarded by the Head of the concerned Department/Institution). Five best scientific write-ups will be selected from entries received in the Academy. The selected students will be invited to participate in “On the Spot Contest” on 27 February 2017 at Allahabad. The final participants will be asked to write on a related topic in three hours.

NASI said that out of these five contestants, finally three would be given cash awards on National Science Day (28 February 2017). The address to send the scientific write up is The National Academy of Sciences, India, 5, Lajpatrai Road, Mumfordganj, Allahabad – 211002, UP.

The write-up can be written either in English or in Hindi while it should be precise and confined to 3000 words only. This nation-wide contest aims at generating scientific temperament among the students and highlight the current scientific and environmental issues.
