NIIT ties up with University of Danang in Vietnam to launch State-of-the-art education model – ‘NIIT Inside’

New Delhi:  NIIT, a global leader in skills and talent development and University of Danang, a regional multi-disciplinary University in Central Vietnam, have entered into a strategic tie partnership. NIIT will facilitate its state-of-the-art ‘Inside Model’ in the University. This the first ever NIIT Inside Model in Vietnam designed for the students of University of Danang. The tie up was announced by Mr. Rahul Patwardhan CEO, NIIT Ltd and Prof. Dr. Tran Van Nam, President, University of Danang at a press conference organized in the city.

‘NIIT Inside Model’ is a unique curriculum integration model for co-operation with universities and colleges in Vietnam where NIIT programs will be embedded in University/College IT curriculum. Students may undergo a 4-year Bachelor Degree program or a 3-year Associate Degree program post 12th grade in Information Technology. University system continues to teach the subjects that a student undergoes such as language, science etc. to obtain a Bachelor Degree, the high-end IT module shall be provided by NIIT. The students will get the degree from the University and also receive a certificate from NIIT. The NIIT Inside Model is successfully running in over 180 plus Universities/institutions in various Asian Countries.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Rahul Patwardhan CEO, NIIT Ltd said, “We are committed to support Vietnam in its human capacity building initiative. NIIT Inside Model will lay the foundation for the next phase of our growth in Vietnam and create a talent pool armed with futuristic skill-sets aligned to the IT industry.”

Under this strategic tie up, NIIT will now provide pioneering programs in Digital Transformation. The company will now offer futuristic programs like digiNxt MMS, Big Data, Java Enterprises Apps with Dev-ops and Digital Marketing, under the DigiNxt Series brand umbrella. Through the Inside Model NIIT will train 5000 students over the next 5 years.

Prof. Dr. Tran Van Nam,  University of Danang, said, “With a vision to prepare our students for today’s competitive job market we have joined hands with NIIT to offer cutting-edge training programs through the NIIT Inside model. The partnership will produce students with highest academic caliber, trained by faculty with highly innovative research achievements. We are confident that this collaboration will be a huge success.”

According to industry experts, digitally transformed organizations are 26% more profitable than their industry competitors. Global spending on digital transformation technologies is expected to cross $2.1 Billion by 2019. By 2018, 35% of IT resources will be spent to support the creation of new digital revenue streams, and by 2020 almost 50% of IT budgets will be tied to digital transformation initiatives. All of these indicate that Digital transformation is going to drive the next phase of growth in the IT Industry.

During the visit Mr. Patwardhan met Mr. Pham Dai Doung, Vice Minister of Science & Technology and Dr. Nguyen Son Hai, Director General Dept. of Information and Communication Technology under Ministry of Education & Training. The meeting focused on discussions on the recent bilateral agreement signed between India and Vietnam. The talks were held on the upgradation in the curriculum that can benefit the student community and also on the employment issue that the workforce is currently facing in Vietnam.

NIIT has established its presence in Vietnam over the past 16 years, becoming the first Indian IT enterprise to do so. Over the years, NIIT has been training skilled IT professionals for the Vietnam IT industry. With the support of its outstanding partners and institutions, it has trained more than 50,000 students in the country. NIIT has also been the winner of Vietnam’s ICT Gold Award for 7 years.
