Mumbai: Tata Crucible, India’s largest business quiz, will be launched today (5 August 2016) in Nagpur. The quiz will bring in innovative formats and an element of unpredictability to engage the intellectual curiosity of the participants. This year, the plan is to change the game to focus on deducing answers, rather than recalling from past trends and questions.
As per the statement issued by Tata Group, participants from Tata and non-Tata companies across 25 cities in India will compete in the regional rounds. The winning team from each of the regional rounds will qualify for the zonal finals and the top two zonal teams will take part in the national finals scheduled to be held in October 2016 in Mumbai. Ace quizmaster Giri Balasubramaniam, popularly known as ‘Pickbrain’ for his wit and humour, will conduct the quiz.
Commenting on the 13th edition of Corporate Quiz, Atul Agrawal, senior vice president, Group Corporate Communications, said, “This year, we have an innovative format that comes with an element of surprise, which will raise the bar of the competition further. We, at the Tata group, have been committed towards fostering talent in the corporate world and teams can look forward to another edition of excitement and surprises.”
The Tata Group has announced that the prize money for the national winning team will be Rs5 lakh along with the coveted Tata Crucible Trophy, regional winners team Rs75,000 and regional runners-up team Rs35,000 (subject to tax deduction in all prize money). Further, the national winners will also receive the all new Bolt car from Tata Motors. There is no entry fee and each team will comprise of two members from the same organization, who need to be full-time employees.
Last year LAME Bangalore team-Prasad Shetty and Sunil Rao won Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz 2015. The prizes for Tata Crucible Corporate Quiz this year are being co-supported by Tata Docomo, Titan and Bolt by Tata Motors.
