UGC schedules interface meeting and releases minimum criteria for three Post Doctoral Fellowship schemes

New Delhi:  The University Grants Commission (UGC) has scheduled the interface meeting from 16.01.2017 to 14.02.2017 for the following schemes in the office of UGC, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi- l 10002: Post Doctoral Fellowship for Women for the year 2017-18; Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Post Doctoral Fellowship for Humanities and Social Sciences including languages for the year 2017-18; and Post Doctoral Fellowship for SC/ST candidates for the year 2017-18.

The UGC has informed that all the candidates should bring a set of enclosed format duly filled in & signed/stamped by the Registrar/Principal/Director of the University/College/lnstitute. Subject-wise schedule of meeting is available on UGC website i.e. www.ugc.ac.in .

The UGC has also released the criteria for short listing the candidates under the above three schemes:

As per the official notification of the UGC, the commission will consider each and every case as per UGC guidelines and requirements of the scheme. The University/College/Institute must be included under section 2(f) and l2(b) ofthe UGC Act, 1956, Institute of National Importance established by the Central/State Government, Deemed to be Universities under section 3 ofthe UGC Act, 1956 which are eligible to receive grant in aid from UGC and Universities/lnstitutions/Colleges funded bv Central/ State Govt.

For Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Post Doctoral Fellowship, screened applications under Humanities and Social Sciences stream including languages will only be considered. No Science subject will be considered.

The UGC has also mentioned that those candidates who have not been included in the list of shortlisted candidates as per criteria and if they consider themselves eligible to be included in the list may also appear for interaction from 10.00 am to 5.00 am in the office of the UGC as per the given schedule on the UGC website.
