New Delhi: Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) India announced the winners of its annual awards for excellence in human resource management and innovative practices. Wipro Limited, IDFC Bank Limited, Mercer Consulting (India) Pvt. Ltd, Shree Cement Limited, Brandix Group, and Aditya Birla Financial Services Ltd emerged as winners of  SHRM HR  Awards under various categories. These awards were presented at the    5th SHRM conference and Exposition 2016 held on 29-30 September 2016 in New Delhi.

In the Awards ceremony, Wipro was the star performer as the company bagged awards under two categories: Employer with Best Employee Health & Wellness Initiative and Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion. IDFC Bank Limited was presented with Excellence in Social Media – People Practices Award while Mercer Consulting (India) Pvt. Ltd. won Excellence in Talent Sourcing & Staffing Award.           Excellence in Community Impact Award was presented to Shree Cement Limited while Aditya Birla Financial Services Ltd emerged as a winner in the Excellence in Developing Leaders of Tomorrow category. Excellence in HR – South Asia (Excluding India)    went to Brandix Group.

This year’s conference was based on the theme “‘DARE – A Bold New HR” that highlighted the rapidly evolving HR practices that are both refreshingly different and daring. The tectonic shift in people management practices require the professional to think out of the box and push oneself to the edge to strike the perfect balance between expectations and optimum output.

Also two notable launches were made during the conference this year. The first one was a collaborative study by SHRM India and Career Builder on “Talent Acquisition & Automation”. The study focuses on the hiring metrics, their usage, impact and the level of technology usage within the hiring function.

The second launch was “Talent Assessment Tools in India, 2016’, a collaborative study between SHRM India and MeritTrac which focuses on the various aspects of assessments such as usage, tracking, integration with other tools, obstacles in usage and the future focus. SHRM India Annual Conference & Exposition also presented the opportunity for all attendees to network and engage with fellow delegates through a series of impactful sessions.
