New Delhi: Recruitment of 139 young engineers is open in Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) of India and a Navratna Enterprise of Govt. of India, under Recruitment of Executive Trainee – 23rd Batch (Engineers) scheme. The Executive Trainees (Engineers) are available in the disciplines of Electrical, Electronics, and Civil.
Candidate should have appeared in the corresponding paper of GATE 2018. Only GATE 2018 score will be valid for this recruitment scheme of the PowerGrid.
Vacant Posts under Executive Trainee – 23rd Batch (Engineers): The total number of vacant posts are 139: Electrical 117, Electronics 11 and Civil 11.
Key Date & Application Fees: The online submission of application to POWERGRID has commenced from 5 January 2018. The Last date for Online submission of Application to POWERGRID is 31 January 2018. For SC/ST/PwD/ Ex-SM/ Departmental candidates are exempted from payment of application fees. For others the application fees is Rs. 500/- .
GATE Registration No. as appearing on the GATE-2018 Admit Card needs to be entered carefully in the online application form.

The recruitment notification mentioned that Final Year / Semester students who expect their results by 14.08.2018 are also eligible, provided they have obtained 65% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all semesters/years up to pre-final examination. Relaxation in Marks in essential qualification for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
Upper Age Limit: 28 years as on 31 December 2017. The relaxation of upper age is available as per Govt Norms.
Selection Process: The Selection Process consists of marks obtained (out of 100) in the corresponding paper of GATE 2018, Group Discussion & Personal Interview. Eligible candidates will have to appear for the corresponding paper of GATE 2018, i.e. Electrical Engineering (EE)/ Electronics and Communication (EC) / Civil Engineering (CE) / Computer Science and Information Technology (CS). Candidates qualified in corresponding paper of GATE 2018 shall only be eligible to be considered for the next stage of selection. Qualifying marks in GATE-2018 shall be as decided by GATE-2018 conducting authority.
Qualified candidates shall be short-listed category-wise for Group Discussion & Personal Interview based on their normalized marks out of 100 in GATE 2018, in the corresponding paper.
