Vadodara: Indian Institute of Information Technology Vadodara (IIITV) has finished campus placement for AY 2018-19. The placements of BTech and MTech students graduating in 2019 is very encouraging. IIIT Vadodara has placed over 95% of its graduating students with 105 offers so far.
Mathworks has highest salary offer of Rs 12 Lacs.The response from industry has been overwhelming. The Companies that visited us during campus placement this year – Directi, Codenation, Siemens, Mathworks, Vehant Technologies, MAQ Software, Poshaq, Play Simple Games, Mettl, Sigmoid, Nucleus Software, Soroco, ICICI Bank, Searce Logistics, Gromor Finance, Prot Technologies, Tricon, TCS and so on.
A total of 40 companies registered for placements this year, offering profiles like software engineering, product management, research & development, research engineering, associate consultant, analyst, business consultant among others. 82 students have been placed so far. The overall placements has been better than the previous year. Average package for this year is nearly Rs 6.4 L.
Placement process has set new benchmarks by attracting the highest number of recruiters who have made the lucrative offers that we ever received. Out of 80 B.Tech students registered, 78 have got placed with average package of Rs 6.4 L so far. Also out of 5 Master students, who registered for placement, 4 have been placed with average package of Rs 5.05 L.
Indian Institute of Information Technology, Vadodara (IIITV) is set up by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India under Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. The partners in this project are Government of India, Government of Gujarat, Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute (GERMI), Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals (GSFC) and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The Institute is established in the year 2013. The Board of Governance is chaired by Ms. Chanda Kochhar, former MD & CEO, ICICI Bank Ltd. At present, IIITV is operating from its temporary premises at Government Engineering College, Gandhinagar till the time its new campus is made operational at Vadodara, Gujarat.
