New Delhi: All India Management Association (AIMA) has launched 20th edition of Student Management Games (SMG – 2016), popularly known as Chanakya, a national-level platform for students from various academic institutions to compete with each other professionally, and learn from each other. This management simulation contest is a computer based event that simulates a Business Scenario. It creates an opportunity for the participants to manage a business with multiple functional areas.
As pre the AIMA statement, the educational Institutions can nominate a team of 3-4 members. Students of MBA, PGDM, Engineering, CFA and equivalent Professional programmes of any college or Institution can participate in the Management simulation contest.
Dates and schedule of all preliminary rounds have been announced by AIMA. The preliminary round starts from Pune and Baroda on September 19-20 2016 while these rounds end in Ghaziabad on 19-20 October 2016.
This event also rewards and recognizes the best, nationally. The winner will be awarded a trophy and Rs 20,000 with gift hampers while runners up will get trophy and Rs 10,000 with gift hampers.

Last year in the Student Management Games, MDI, Gurgaon team emerged the winner while MSM, Meerut was first Runners Up. SMG is held during August – September – October of every calendar year. AIMA said that since launch of SMG in 1997, over 12,000 students from 250 B-Schools and other institutions have benefited from this unique learning experience in a competitive environment.
