New Delhi : Harappa, India’s leading online institution for behavioral skilling announces the hiring of Sukhdeep Bhogal as Chief Product Officer and Vipul Rathore as Chief Content Officer. This announcement follows a leadership expansion announcement in December 2020 where the company crystallized its ambitious growth plans. This is also in line with Harappa’s plans to double down on its B2C bets and strengthen its B2B presence across the distinct learning experiences and formats its learner base needs.

In his new role, Sukhdeep will be leading and scaling Harappa’s product and digital experiences, contributing to business goals as part of key leadership. He brings over 19 years of experience in scaling digital businesses. Prior to joining Harappa, Sukhdeep has been VP Digital & Business Head at Cox & Kings. A serial entrepreneur, he joined the travel company after Cox & Kings acquired his startup called Trotoise.

Speaking on the appointment, Sukhdeep Bhogal, Chief Product Officer, Harappa said, “I am thrilled to join the stellar team at Harappa and share their vision to build a digital-first institution that delivers innovative learning experiences. I look forward to leveraging tech to enhance access, ease of consumption for learning content and innovate the learning and product journeys”.

As Chief Content Officer, Vipul will be leading Harappa’s curriculum. He brings with him more than two decades of experience in online learning, across companies such as Genpact, Accenture, and KPMG. His rich corporate experience adds an important, necessary layer of enterprise insight to Harappa’s content offering.

Vipul Rathore, Chief Content Officer, Harappa Education, shares, “What distinguishes Harappa from the sea of edtech startups today is the commitment to the original content and our unique behavioral-science-inspired curriculum. I am delighted for the opportunity to scale our efforts with the trademark Harappa obsession to understand, engage and motivate our learners, and guarantee them learning they can demonstrate every day. ”

The last couple of years have highlighted that the future of learning lies in personalization. Leveraging the intersection of technology and curriculum, Harappa strives to spearhead this transformation in the Indian L&D category. The new additions to Harappa’s robust senior leadership team will enable the company to meet its ambitious growth plans across its enterprise, campus, and consumer businesses. Harappa aims to have half a million paid learners by FY 2023.

“Over the last two years, we’ve been humbled by the enthusiasm that our learners and partners have demonstrated for our courses and programs, across our enterprise, campus, and independent learner segments. Both Sukhdeep and Vipul join us at an exciting time, as we continue to scale up to meet our ambitious goals of making Harappa a learning institution, of choice, scale, and reputation. We are confident that with them, and our already stellar leadership team firmly in place, 2021 is going to be a monumental year in our growth journey,” added Shreyasi Singh, Founder & CEO, Harappa Education

Co-founded by Pramath Raj Sinha and Shreyasi Singh, Harappa went live in April 2019 with a mission to address the need-gap for cognitive, social, and behavioral skills, or what they call Thrive Skills, in the Indian workforce. Thrive Skills are an essential set of cognitive, social, and behavioral skills to enable professionals to continuously succeed, at every stage of their career.
