Gurgaon : Bharti Foundation the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises has been declared as one of India’s Best Employers among Nation-Builders by the Great Place to Work (GPTW) on June 2021. The Foundation has been featured in GPTW – Wall of Fame for its commitment towards providing quality education to the underprivileged children living in rural India.
The Great Place to Work survey is one of the largest in the country in which over 850 companies participated this year. The selection criteria for the award included – national brand presence, large scale employment generation, significant social impact, large scale consumer/customer base and promoting SDGs of UN.
Speaking on the occasion, Mamta Saikia, CEO, Bharti Foundation said, “This year, we were certified by ‘Great Place to Work’ for the fourth time. We at Bharti Foundation strongly believe that we can change the lives of underprivileged children in our various education programs. We are working in 183 Satya Bharti schools in 6 states and supporting 791 government schools in 13 states. The partnership with state education departments under the government support program is growing into large scale projects. As a part of our support for higher education, we have a tie-up with Plaksha University, wherein we also award scholarship to deserving students from diverse socio-economic background.
