Gandhinagar: With an aim to train young sports enthusiasts in the game of squash, the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) has announced a one-month Squash Coaching Camp from May 23 to June 23, 2022, at the newly built Sports Complex of the Institute. For the first time, the coaching camp and squash courts at the Institute have been made available for the external participants as well. The one-month-long squash camp will be led by Mr Mukesh Rai, a Squash Racket Federation of India (SRFI) certified coach from Delhi. Anyone aged seven years and above can participate in the camp by registering on https://tinyurl.com/2576wr5y by May 28, 2022. The coaching would be available during any one of these four time slots: 7-8 AM, 8-9 AM, 5-6 PM or 6-7 PM. Non-IITGN squash enthusiasts can take advantage of this one-month coaching camp for Rs 3,000. The Institute has reserved a few seats for the youngsters from the neighbouring villages so that they can also take benefit of the training. Outstation participants can avail hostel and the mess facilities of the campus as well. Sharing more information about the first-ever Squash Coaching Camp at IITGN, Prof Jaison Manjaly, Jasubhai Memorial Chair Professor at IITGN and a squash enthusiast himself, said, “IITGN has always encouraged its students and community members to adopt an active lifestyle to maintain a healthy body and mind. The Institute provides the best sporting facilities, and the newly built Sports Complex at IITGN is equipped with several world-class sporting facilities. Squash is a relatively new game for people in India, but it has great potential. Through this squash coaching camp, we wish to encourage young sports enthusiasts to explore this fun and powerful racket sport, which can also improve your strength and fitness.”

Hyderabad : SHRM India HR Tech Conference 2022, a two-day conference with the theme, “Game on”, ended today on a successful note. The conference had over 4300 attendees, more than 500 CXOs, and 134 speakers from around the world shared their insights during 52 sessions.

Ms Achal Khanna, CEO – SHRM India, APAC & MENA, Said, “We are extremely happy to see the overwhelming response we have received for the conference. The day began with an opening keynote by Nilanjan Adhya, Chief Digital Officer, BlackRock; who talked about how the landscape of workspace is continuously changing, why there is a need to find new ways to achieve business results with greater simplicity, and how technology can help here in achieving the same. He further discussed how digital transformation will help in creating an all-in approach beyond automation, with improved business agility, intelligent services and skills of a diverse workforce.

Sandeep Bidani, Consulting Partner-Inclusion Advisory, Saarathee and Richa Bansal, Founder and Managing Director, Saarathee in a session named “Equity for Disability: Business Case Done Right”, explored the nuances of leveraging technology to enable differently abled members of the workforce to maximize their abilities.

In a special address, “Bring on your ‘A’ Game! Always”, Pullela Gopichand, Chief National Coach, Indian Badminton team discussed about how the digital workspace revolution is here and is expanding at rapid speed. He further talked about the how organizations are looking for new, effective, productive ways to meet the evolving demands of doing business-agility, 24/7 global access, speed and accuracy.

During the conference, SHRM Unveiled the SHRM HR Excellence Awards Winners’ Practices Playbook. The Playbook features the best in class case-studies of organisations that are leading the charge in HR best practices.  The ultimate guide to creating Excellent People Practices.

In addition, SHRM launched SHRMs Capability in Behavioral Assessments in partnership with Salto Dee Fe and the Talent Enterprise. Through this partnership, SHRM will provide, contemporary psychometric tools and assessment solutions to its clients. This will incorporate the latest in artificial intelligence and data science through ‘The talent enterprise’ suite of tools. Also, this partnership will enable SHRM to offer extensive and exceptional insights into the intricacies of behavior in individuals, teams, and organizations, through its leading-edge, technology-enabled talent assessment and capability development solutions.

The conference ended with SHRM Big Debate, “WorkTech: Enabling Socialization or Fostering Alienation”, where Anand Shankar, Senior Vice President – Group Human Resources, Tata Group & Director,Enabling Socialization; Parag Pande, Global Human Resources Services Delivery Lead,, Accenture; Richa Bansal , Founder and Managing Director, Saarathee, Fostering Alienation; Dr Shalini Lal, Founder, Unqbe; Rajesh Dhuddu; SVP & Global Head – Blockchain & Metaverse, Tech Mahindra discussed on the contrarian views on whether digital tools are fostering digital harmony or creating bigger problems as a result of digitized talent management.
