As on 01 November 2024, there are six Central Universities have announced PhD for 2024-25 Academic Year. The total number of vacant seats are expected to be more than 1,500 seats.

Pondichhery, 31 October 2024: Pondicherry University, a Central University, has announced admission to PhD Programmes for the Academic Session 2024-25 through Entrance Examination Exempted Category (UGC NET / CSIR NET).
ELIGIBILITY
Only those candidates who have qualified the National Eligibility Test conducted by UGC NET / CSIR / NFOBC / NFSC / MANF or such National Level examination recognized by the University as equivalent and awarded a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or any other fellowship for pursuing doctoral research and also qualified for UGC-NET / CSIR-NET Ph.D. Admission only are eligible to apply.
MODE OF SELECTION: Based on presentation and Interview conducted by the concerned Departments /Centres.

Gaya, 30 October 2024: Central University of South Bihar has announced PhD Admission for 2024-25 academic year. The total number of vacant seats are 253. 0
The admission in PhD programme in Central University of South Bihar for AY 2024-25 will be made in terms of the UGC public notice No.F.4-1(UGC-NET Review Committee)/ 2024(NET)/140648, dated March 27, 2024.
Accordingly, based on the scores obtained in UGC-NET, the candidates will be eligible in three categories.

Gangtok, 25 October 2024: Sikkim University, a Central University, has announced PhD Admission for 2024-25 academic year.
Candidates with UGC-NET score/equivalent examinations like CSIR-NET, CEED, GATE, ICMR-NET, DBT-NET, ICAR-NET, etc may apply for the programme. UGC NET score is not mandatory for applications in Non-NET subject like Bhutia.

University of Hyderabad PhD Admission 2024-25 for 214 via CSIR/UGC NET Score
Hyderabad, 21 October 2024: University of Hyderabad (UoH) has announced PhD Admission for 2024-25 though CSIR- UGC NET 2024/ UGC-NET 2024 scores.
The JRF Qualified candidates in CSIR- UGC NET 2024/ UGC-NET 2024 shall be admitted into the PhD programme based on an interview as per the University Grants Commission (Minimum standard and procedure for Award of PhD degree) Regulation 2022.
Candidates who have appeared CSIR- UGC NET 2024/ UGC-NET 2024 only are eligible to apply.

Central University of Jammu Opens PhD Admission 2024-25 for 23 Departments
Jammu, 21 October 2024: Central University of Jammu has announced Admissions to PhD Programmes for the session 2024-25. The PhD Admissions are available in 23 departments.
