Mohali, 07 March 2025: Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Kolkata, an Institute of National Importance, has released PhD Admission for Autumn 2025 semester:

Research Areas: Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences,Computational and Data Sciences, Earth Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics and Statistics, Physical Sciences and Space Sciences.

Eligible applicants of the PhD programme are encouraged to apply for the attractive Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (https://pmrf.in/) in addition to applying to IISER Kolkata regular admission.

Key Dates:

PhD application portal opens from 09 March 2025

Application portal closes: 19 May 2025

Fees:

Reservations for candidates will be as per Govt.of India norms.

Application fee (non-refundable) for GEN, EWS, OBC-NCL: ₹ 200/-

Application fee (non-refundable) for PwD, SC, ST: ₹ 100/-

Eligibility Criteria:

Chemical Sciences:  Minimum Eligibility Criteria: Bright and motivated candidates who have passed M.Sc. examination with minimum 55% marks in any field of Chemistry or Physics or Mathematics.

In addition, the candidates must have valid GATE Score Card, CSIR/UGC-NET LS or other Equivalent National Eligibility Exam.

OR

Besides satisfying minimal eligibility criteria, the candidates must have CSIR/UGC-NET JRF, INSPIRE fellowship or other Equivalent Fellowships.
