New Delhi: Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW), a women’s university in New Delhi, has released admission notification for the academic year 2017-18 under UG, PG and PhD Programmes. For PhD, both full-time and part-time programmes are available.
The various disciplines available under doctoral programmes in IGDTUW is given below: Computer Science & Engineering (CSE-10 No of seats), Information Technology/Computer Applications (3), Electronics and Communication (8), Mechanical and Automation Engineering (4), and Applied Science & Humanities (Physics-2, Chemistry-2, Mathematics-3, English-2). There are tentatively 34 seats available for PhD programmes 2017-18.

For MCA & PhD – Last Date of submission of application form for 10 June 2017
MTech (full time & part time) – Last Date of submission of application form for 15 June 2017
Conduct of Research Aptitude Test (RAT) (If required): 1 July 2017
Eligibility for Full Time PhD Program:
- For Engineering (CSE, IT, MAE, ECE): Degree in M.E. / M.Tech or equivalent from a
recognized University/ Institution in the relevant discipline with minimum of 60% marks
in aggregate or equivalent CGPA & B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent with minimum of 60%
marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
- For Computer Application: MCA from a recognized University/ Institution with
minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA &Graduation Degree (with
Sciences and Mathematics) with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent
CGPA.
iii. For Sciences and Humanities (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English) : Master
Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized University/Institution with 60% marks
or equivalent CGPA & undergraduate degree in the relevant discipline with 60% marks in
aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
For Part Time PhD Program, Faculty working in Educational Institutions, Scientists working in R&D Organizations/Labs, Professionals working in a PSUs/Corporate/Industry registered under Company’s Act can apply.
Selection Process: Admission shall be made on the basis of a written Screening Test (Research Aptitude Test, RAT) or an interview or both as decided by the Admission Committee of the university.
Financial Support: Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women may provide financial assistance as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to few Full Time Research Scholars registered in the PhD Programme.
