Noida : Ramagya Sports Academy, a premier sports academy in Noida, organised an interactive session with actors Pulkit Samrat and Divyenndu, connecting students with conversations around sports and storytelling. The students got an opportunity to hear about the preparation, effort and experiences that go behind both sporting journeys and stories based on sports.
The actors, who are part of Netflix’s sports-based series ‘Glory’, spoke with students about their experiences, preparation and the process behind portraying characters connected with sport. The session also gave students an opportunity to look at sports from a different perspective beyond regular training and competition.
Against the setting of boxing, the theme of Glory revolves around the issue of family feuds, ambition, and competition within sport. The actors discussed the physical preparations associated with the production of the series, and the significance of sport within the narrative during their engagement. The visit allowed students to hear directly from performers associated with a sports-based story in a setting they relate to naturally.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Utkarsh Gupta, Managing Director, Ramagya Group said, “At Ramagya Sports Academy, we have always believed that sport has a wider cultural influence beyond training and competition. Hosting an interaction around a series centred on boxing was relevant for our students, as it connected sport with storytelling, discipline and aspiration. It also gave students an opportunity to engage with professionals from the creative world in an informal setting.”
Sharing his thoughts on the interaction, Pulkit Samrat said, “It has been encouraging to meet students in a sporting environment and speak about a story embedded in sport. Such interactions create a direct connection with young audiences.”
Speaking about the series, Divyenndu said, “Glory stems from sport, but it is equally a story about relationships, pressure and personal struggle. We are glad to bring this narrative to a young audience that connects naturally with the spirit of the story.”
The event also aligned with the academy’s larger focus on promoting sporting culture among young people. With such sporting events, Ramagya Sports Academy keeps on giving opportunities to its students to interact with sports in more ways than one. Not only do students learn from sports, but also get an idea about what sports means apart from just playing.
For younger students in particular, the event offered a different kind of learning, where they could engage with personalities associated with a sports-led story and hear directly about preparation, setbacks and persistence. Coaches and faculty members also remained engaged through the Programme, adding to the interaction.
Full of encouragement for the students, the event concluded with student interactions and photo opportunities. The visit also drew an enthusiastic response from participants at the academy and added a different dimension to the day’s activities.
At Ramagya Sports Academy, the focus remains on creating an environment where structured training, fitness and wider learning go together. The academy’s approach has been to encourage students to look at sport not only as competition, but also as a discipline that builds confidence, awareness and long-term character. Interactions of this nature add to that broader exposure.
