Mumbai, 20 January 2020: International Institute For Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, a Deemed University, has released Admission Notification for the Academic Year 2020-2021. Fellowships Benefits available to all course.
Programmes: MA/MSc in Population Studies, M.Sc in Bio-Statistics and Demography, Master of Population Studies, MPhil in Population Studies/Biostatistics & Demography, Ph.D in Population Studies/Biostatistics & Demography, Part-time PhD programme, Post Doctoral Fellowship, M.A. in Population Studies (Distance Education).
Key Dates: The last date for submission of online application has been extended till 12 February 2020 and the last date for receipt of hard copy of applications has been extended till 18 February 2020. The Online Exam is on 8 March, 2020.
Fellowships Benefits: Rs. 5,000/- Per Month for Master Degree courses. Rs. 6,000/- Per Month for M.Phil. courses. Rs. 50,000/- Per Month for Post Doctoral Fellowships.
PhD Scholarship: Government of India Fellowships @ Rs. 25,000/- per month for 1st and 2nd years and Rs. 28,000/- per month for 3rd and 4th years available for the Indian students who have qualified NET for Lectureship in Population Studies or its inter-disciplinary subjects conducted by the UGC. Such Ph.D. fellowship also carries a contingency grant of Rs.10,000/- per year for the first two years and Rs. 20,500/- for the third year. However the candidates, without NET qualification shall be awarded fellowship @ Rs.12,000/- per month for the 1st and 2nd years, and Rs.14,000/- per month for the 3rd and 4th years, with a contingency grant of Rs.10,000/- per year. In addition, UGC-JRF and other fellowship holders will also be considered for admission as per availability of seats.
Application Fees: The non-refundable processing fees are Rs. 1000/- for General category, Rs. 500/- for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and EWS category, and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PWD category.
