Lucknow, 02 June 2020: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow, a Central University situated in Uttar Pradesh has announced Admission to various programmes: Certificate, Under Graduate, Post Graduate, MPhil & PhD.
The university will conduct an online entrance examination (CBT mode) for all the programmes. Entrance Test shall be conducted at the Centres located in the 115 cities across India.
MPhil & PhD Seat Matrix: BBAU offers MPhil programmes in 10 disciplines for 92 seats for 2020-21. Meanwhile, the university offers PhD programmes in 23 disciplines for 100 seats for the current academic year.

Registration and Payment of Application Fee: From 27 May 2020 to 10 July 2020.
Application Fee is Rs 1000/- for OPEN CATEGORY (Including OBC and EWS) 1000 INR (per course).
Application Fee is Rs 500 /- for SC/ ST/ PH CATEGORY 500 INR (per course).

Eligibility in Brief: Candidates for admission to the PhD programme shall have a Master’s degree or a degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body of this University, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
Further, a relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, is allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
Syllabus of the Entrance Test: There shall be an online entrance examination (CBT mode) for PhD programmes. The syllabus for the entrance test would be in consonance to what has been prescribed by UGC-NET/ ICAR/ CSIR/ ICMR/ DBT/ GPAT/ GATE/ PCI/ NCTE and such other bodies if any.
