Lucknow, 28 May 2020: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow, a Central University situated in Uttar Pradesh invited online application for admission to various programmes: Certificate, Under Graduate, Post Graduate, MPhil & PhD.
The university will conduct an online entrance examination (CBT mode) for all the programmes. Entrance Test shall be conducted at the Centres located in the 115 cities across India.

Registration and Payment of Application Fee: From 27 May 2020 to 10 July 2020.
Application Fee is Rs 1000/- for OPEN CATEGORY (Including OBC and EWS) 1000 INR (per course).
Application Fee is Rs 500 /- for SC/ ST/ PH CATEGORY 500 INR (per course).
Vacant MPhil & PhD Seats for 2020-21: The total vacant PhD seats are 87 across 16 departments.
MPhil & PhD Seat Matrix: BBAU offers MPhil programmes in 10 disciplines for xxx seats for 2020-21. Meanwhile, the university offers PhD programmes in 23 disciplines for 100 seats for the current academic year.

Eligibility in Brief: Candidates for admission to the PhD programme shall have a Master’s degree or a degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body of this University, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
Further, a relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, is allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of the Commission from time to time.
Syllabus of the Entrance Test: There shall be an online entrance examination (CBT mode) for PhD programmes. The syllabus for the entrance test would be in consonance to what has been prescribed by UGC-NET/ ICAR/ CSIR/ ICMR/ DBT/ GPAT/ GATE/ PCI/ NCTE and such other bodies if any.
