Eligibility Conditions:
Engineering and Applied Science Programs: 60% Marks or a minimum CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale in relevant program in M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc./M.Phil.
(Candidates with MCA degree are not eligible for the PhD program of the University)
Law Program: Master’s degree in Law/any other discipline from a recognized University with not less than 55% marks or its equivalent provided that candidates with qualifications in social sciences, humanities and sciences may be admitted to the program, if the research they wish to pursue interfaces with the discipline of law.
Management Program (i) Master’s degree, or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 60 % marks or with Aggregate CGPA of 6.5 on a scale of 10 (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
(ii) Professional qualification such as CA/ ICWA/CS with any Under-graduate Degree are also eligible to apply. Any equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions.
Media Program: Master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in UGC 7-point scale. Candidates with a master’s degree in other domains of social sciences are also eligible to apply, provided their area of research is essentially from mass communication.
PhD Assistantship:
Financial Support will be provided to all full time Ph.D. scholars in the form of Ph.D. Assistantship, subject to terms and conditions as per University rules.
Slab 1. INR 25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand per month) plus hostel accommodation/food/ and requiring 8 hours Teaching Assistantship per week.
Slab 2. INR 40,000/- (Rupees Forty Thousand per month) with no hostel accommodation and food and requiring 8 hours Teaching Assistantship per week.
