Chennai: Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) has announced Admission 2020-21 for various programnmes, UG, PG, Integrated Degree and PhD programmes. Admission to these programmes will be done through Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2020.
The application window for Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2020 opens today , 16 March 2020. Closing Date of Online Registration is 11 April 2020.
For academic year 2020-21, CUTN offers PhD Programmes in 24 subjects.

All those candidates who are applying for admission into PhD programmes and have cleared National Level Fellowship Examinations i.e. UGC-JRF / UGC-CSIR-JRF have to apply through CUCET 2020 online portal and they are exempted from CUCET 2020 Entrance Exam. However, they have to appear for INTERVIEW. ONLY shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview.
Some of the Departments may conduct Written test at the time of interview, if required. Preference will be given for candidates with JRF.
Candidates without National Level Fellowship, who appear in CUCET have to appear in the interview conducted by the department. as per UGC2016 (M.Phil./Ph.D) Regulations.
Candidates securing 50% of marks (45% and above for OBC-NCL, SC, ST & PWD candidates) and above in CUCET 2020 only are eligible to appear for the interview.
