New Delhi: The closing date for submission of online application of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018 has been extended to 9 October 2017 (Monday). In a short statement uploaded on the official website of GATE 2018, the organizing institute of GATE 2018, IIT Guwahati informed that in response to the request received for the extension of the closing date for application submission, it has been extended to 20:00 Hrs (IST) of 9 October 2017 (Monday).
Earlier, the closing date was scheduled today (05 Oct 2017). Hence, now candidates can get enough time to fill up their application and submit application via GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS).
The GATE 2018 Examination will be held on03rd February 2018 & 04th February 2018 and 10th February 2018 & 11th February 2018.
A candidate can apply for only ONE of the 23 papers listed in the GATE Information Brochure or GATE website.
More than nine lakh candidates apply for GATE. For GATE 2017, more than 9.22 lakh candidates registered to appear the test.
Historical GATE qualified rate 15-17%: Only 15 to 17% candidates are able to qualify the test. In GATE 2017, the pass rate was 16% while for GATE 2016, the pass rate was 16.5%. In GATE 2015, 15% of candidates appeared were able to clear the test.
