New Delhi: Human Resource Development Group of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research has informed that the results of CSIR-UGC NET Dec 2019 Exam will be declared by end of this month. The scores  of the candidates have been declared by the National Testing Agency.

The list of qualified candidates will be declared soon by CSIR. The NTA  has informed that Instructions relating to issuance/obtaining Eligibility Certificate to qualified candidates will be notified separately later by CSIR on their website www.csirhrdg.res.in.

The NTA conduced the Exam on 15 December 2019 and 27 December 2019 ( In Assam and Meghalaya) in which 2,25,889 candidates appeared out of 2,82,117 registered.

Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)-UGC NET Exam for Science streams is conducted by NTA in the following subjects:  Chemical Sciences;  Earth Sciences; Life Sciences; Mathematical Sciences; Physical Science.

Life Sciences, Chemical, Mathematics see highest registration: More than 1.03 Lakh candidates registered the examination in Life Sciences subject. Meanwhile, 83055 candidates appeared the test in Life Sciences.  In Chemical Sciences, out of 65,356 registered candidates,  53,380 number of candidates appeared CSIR-NET Dec 2019 exam. Similarly, in Mathematics, out of 53,995 registered candidates,  43,330 number of candidates appeared the exam.

Female candidates outnumber Male candidates:  A total number of 1.33 Lakh females candidates appeared the test, which is 59% of total candidates who have appeared the test. The share of male candidates is 41% as 92,500 candidates appeared the test.

Procedure and Criteria for declaration of result: In Life Sciences subject female candidates outpace male candidates in wider margin. The share of female candidates is 69% as out of  83,055 registered candidates, 57,182 are female candidates.

Two separate merit lists, one comprising of the candidates qualifying for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF-NET) and the second, of those candidates qualifying the Eligibility Test for Lectureship (LS-NET)/Assistant Professorship, will be made on the basis of their performance in the above Test. Candidates qualifying for JRF (NET), will also be eligible for Lectureship/ Assistant Professorship (NET) subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria laid down by UGC.

The candidates qualifying for Lectureship/Assistant Professorship will be eligible to be considered for recruitment as Lecturers as well as for Junior Research Fellowship in a Scheme/Project, if otherwise suitable.
