New Delhi, 05 May 2020: Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ interacted with the students across the country through a webinar. During the one hour interaction, the Minister responded to the various concerns and queries of the students relating to school examinations, entrance examinations, Academic Calendar, online education, Fees, Mental health of students, international students, fellowships among others.

The examination dates of UGC NET June 2020 and JEE (Advanced) to be announced soon, said–Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. Here, it can be mentioned that NTA has initially announced before COVID 19 pandemic that the Examination will be held during 15 June 2020 to 20 June 2020.  Hence, there will change of exam dates when nation-wide lockdown due to COVID 19 spread is lifted and normal situation returns .

Hence, the candidates will get some days to prepare the exam. More than 10 lakh candidates apply for UGC NET examination. On UGC NET December examination,

The closing date for submission of application has been extended to 16 June 2020, by the NTA amid Corona pandemic.

Last time the NTA conducted the UGC-NET Examination from 02 to 06 December 2019 for 10,34,872 candidates, covering 81 subjects. A total number of 7,93,813 candidates appeared the UGC NET Dec 2019.
