Guwahati: GATE 2018 examinations for 23 papers will be conducted across eight (8) sessions in 03 February 2018 (Saturday), 04 February 2018 (Sunday), 10 February 2018 (Saturday) and 11 February 2018 (Sunday). Each exam day will have two sessions: Forenoon (09:00 – 12:00 hrs (IST); Afternoon Session (14:00 – 17:00 hrs (IST).
There are no multiple sessions for CS, EC, EE subjects this year. Only CE and ME have two sessions for GATE 2018. In previous GATE exam (GATE 2017), five subjects had multiple sessions: CS, EC, EE, ME and CE.
IIT Guwahati, the organizing institute of GATE 2018, has released examination schedule, which is available on the official website of the test.
Further, IIT Guwahati has announced that Admit Card will be available in the Online Application Portal (for printing) from 05 January 2018 (Friday). Hence, candidates will be able to download the GATE 2018 admit card from 05 January 2018. Admit Card can only be downloaded from the GOAPS website. Admit Cards will not be sent by post or as e-mail attachment.
Hard copy (printed in color) of the Admit Card must be brought to the examination centre along with at least one original (not photocopied/scanned copy) and valid (not expired) Identity Document (ID), which was specified during the filling up of the online application.
On the basis of the Admit Card number, the candidates will be able apply Graduate Engineer posts of PSUs who have notified their recruitment scheme through GATE 2018 score.
