IISc Bangalore opens Application window for Admission 2020-21 from 01 Feb 2020

Bangalore: Indian Institute of Bangalore (IISc), Bangalore, India’s top ranked research university, has released the Admission Schedule for 2020-21 academic year.  The application window will open from 01 February 2020.

Key Dates for IISc Bangalore Admission 2020:

Website opens for online submission of applications – 01 February  2020

Last date for online submission of applications (website closes at 23:59 hours of 23.03.2020) -23 2020 March

Last date for receipt of printed version of Sponsored/ERP applications upto 5.30 p.m – 30 March 2020

Last date for updating the following NET Results online:

Joint CSIR-UGC NET for JRF/UGC NET for JRF/ICMR-JRF/ DBT-JRF / JEST -15 April 2020

(Important: Applicants must update their national test rank in the Applicant’s interface immediately after the announcement of results)

IISc Bangalore has updated this Admission Schedule on Admission Page of its Official Website. The details Admission Bulletin or Prospectus 2020 has not been uploaded. IISc Bangalore is expected to officially announce Admission 2020 very soon.

IISc offers admission to the following programmes for Academic Year 2020-21:

(i) Course programme – (M Tech/M Des)

(ii) Course programme – (M Mgt)

(iii) Sponsored Course programme (M Tech) – [For the Sponsored candidates from Defence, DRDO, BARC, ISRO, NTRO, NAL, KSRTC, BMTC, BDA, PWD and CPRI.]

(iv) Research programme – Doctoral (Ph D) and Master’s (M Tech [Res])

(v) Integrated Ph D programme in Biological, Chemical, Mathematical and Physical Sciences disciplines.

(vi) Ph D External Registration programme (ERP)

The Ph D ERP at the Institute provides opportunities to

(a) individuals employed in R & D environments in scientific institutions or industries and

(b) young Engineering / Science faculty members of all Engineering Colleges/Universities including Agricultural, Pharmaceutical, Veterinary, Medical Colleges,/Universities recognized by appropriate government agencies to pursue research degrees in Science / Engineering.

Candidates should go through the requirement of basic qualifications carefully and satisfy themselves that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria for the admission.

Eligible applicants of the PhD programme can apply for the attractive Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (https://pmrf.in/) in addition to applying to IISc’s regular admission.
