New Delhi: Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR), an Autonomous Organisation under Ministry of HRD, has invited applications for ICHR Junior Research Fellowships (JRF), 2020-2021. Total number of JRFs are 80.
ICHR has also invited applications for Senior Academic Fellowship (SAF), 2020-2021. The total number SAFs are 10. The value of fellowship is Rs. 44000/- per month with a contingency grant of Rs. 44000/- per annum for a period of two years.
ICHR has also invited applications for Post Doctoral Fellowships for 2020-2021. The total number PDFs are 10.
Details for JRF: The selected fellows will be awarded fellowship of Rs. 17600/- (Rupees seventeen thousand and six hundred only) per month plus contingency grant of Rs. 16500/- (Rupees sixteen thousand and five hundred only) per annum for a period of Two years.
The maximum numbers of Junior Research Fellowships to be awarded for 2020-2021 are eighty (80) only, applying the usual reservation for SC, ST & PwD.
The Fellowship is a whole-time engagement for research work and cannot be combined with any other whole-time or part-time work (for details see Terms and Conditions in the ICHR Research Funding Rules booklet, ‘Chapter-II- Fellowships’ which is available also on our official website i.e. www.ichr.ac.in.
Eligibility Conditions for JRF:
Candidates who have registered in recognized Universities for Ph.D. programme in Historical Studies are eligible to apply for the Fellowship (JRF).
Selection Procedure: Award of JRF will be based on an online Entrance Test and Presentation-cum-Interview.
Key Dates: Online submission of JRF application opens on 28 November 2019. The last date for online submission is 27 December 2019. The last date for submitting printouts of applications submitted online is 03 January 2020.
