NTA extends closing date for submission application for UGC NET, CSIR NET, IGNOU PhD, JNUEE 2020 examinations amid COVID 19

New Delhi:  In a major relief for students facing difficulties amid Corona virus outbreak in applying various Entrance Exams conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the agency has extended/revised the dates of submission of Online Application Forms.

The application window has been extended on the following examinations by NTA: UGC-NET June 2020, CSIR-UGC NET June 2020, Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE)- 2020, Indira Gandhi National, Open University (IGNOU) Admission Test-2020 for PhD and Open Mat, (MBA), All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET)-2020, National Council for Hotel Management (NCHM) JEE-2020, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)-2020.

As per the revised schedule, the closing date for submission application for UGC-NET June 2020 is 16 May 2020 while for Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2020 is 15 May 2020. Earlier, the closing date for application for UGC-NET June 2020 was 16 April 2020 while for Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2020 was 15 April 2020.

The closing date for online registration of application of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Admission Test-2020 for PhD and Open MAT (MBA) is extended to 30 April 2020. Also the closing date for online registration of application of Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE)- 2020 is revised to 20 April 2020.

The revised closing date for online registration of application  for National Council for Hotel Management (NCHM) JEE-2020 and Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)-2020 extended to 30 April 2020.

Meanwhile, the closing date for application window for All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET)-2020 is revised to 31 May 2020.

The detailed schedule mentioning revised dates of downloading of Admit Cards and of Examination will be displayed separately on respective examination website(s) and www.nta.ac.in, after assessment of the situation after 15 April 2020 only.

NTA understands the importance of academic calendar and schedule, but it is equally concerned about the wellbeing of every citizen including students. NTA would expect students and parents to not worry about the Examination.

Moreover, parents are requested to help young students utilize this time for preparing for the Examination and focus on critical concepts in order to close learning gaps if any. NTA would keep students updated about the latest developments and would inform about changes with ample time.

The candidates and their parents are advised to keep visiting the respective examination website and www.nta.ac.in for latest updates.
