Pilani: Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani, an Institute of Eminence by Ministry of HRD, has released PhD Admission Programmes for Second Semester 2019-20. The PhD Programmes Admission are available for Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses.
Key Dates: Online application will close on 09 December 2019 at 17.00 hrs. Name of shortlisted candidates will be declared on the BITS Pilani.
Minimum Eligibility Qualifications:
• M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Pharm. / M.B.A. / M.Phil. or an equivalent degree (minimum of 60% aggregate)* • M.Sc. / B.E. / B.Pharm. or an equivalent degree (minimum of 60% aggregate)* •
For admission into Humanities and Social Sciences, M.A. degree (minimum of 55% aggregate)*
*in the qualifying Degree examination List of Departments where PhD Admission Exist:
• Engineering: Chemical, Civil, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical
• Science: Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics
• Pharmacy
• Economics & Finance, Humanities & Social Sciences, Management
Fellowships: Full-time PhD students admitted into the PhD programme are eligible to be considered for fellowship of ₹28,000/- or ₹31,000/- per month as per intake qualifications. Consideration for fellowship will be as per Institute norms, details of which are available in the PhD brochure on the admission website. It will be obligatory on the part of every admitted full time student to undertake 8 to 10 hours
(per week) of work as assigned to her/him by the Institute.
